Who we are

OpenJug is a service provided by AHK Digital Comms Pty Ltd ABN 14 654 394 822, based in Melbourne, Australia. We help Australian venues understand which of their Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google and Pinterest ads bring in bookings.

What we collect on this website

When you fill in our free check form, we collect:

Your name, email address and mobile number
Your venue name
Optional information about your OpenTable plan, number of venues and ad spend
Technical information like your IP address, browser type and any UTM parameters in the URL

What we handle for venues

When you become a customer, we handle guest data from your OpenTable account, including:

Guest names, email addresses and phone numbers
Booking and visit details (date, time, number of covers)
Estimated or actual spend per visit

This information is scrambled (hashed) before we send it to your ad platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google and Pinterest) so they can match bookings to people who saw your ads without seeing their actual details.

Who we share it with

We share information with:

Ad platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google and Pinterest), so they can match bookings to your ads. We send hashed guest details only.
Vercel, who hosts our website and service in the United States.
Resend, who delivers our emails.
Our database and hosting providers.

We don't sell your information to anyone.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including Vercel and the ad platforms above) are based in the United States. By using OpenJug, you consent to your information being stored and processed there.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you're a customer, plus up to 7 years after you cancel (to meet Australian tax and business record requirements). Free check enquiries are kept for up to 2 years.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Guest details are hashed before they're sent to your ad platforms, and our systems use industry-standard encryption.

Access and correction

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you. Email us at info@openjug.co. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.

Automated decisions

We don't use your information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your information, please contact us first at info@openjug.co. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or call 1300 363 992.
